Q: How can I drop off or mail in my film for development?

You can only mail in film and prints unless you make other arrangements with me.

Q: Do you accept disposable cameras?

Yes, these are bigger and bulkier so package them accordingly.

Q: What is your standard turnaround time for film scans?

Standard development and digital scanning take 3 to 7 business days. You will receive a secure download link via email as soon as they are ready. Scans will only be emailed for orders that are paid in full prior.

Q: What types of film do you process?

35mm, 120/220 color and B&W

Q: What is the difference between Wet vs Dry print process?

Click here to learn the differences: Wet vs Dry printing.

Q: What do you use for printing?

I use a Canon Professional printer that utilizes up to 11 ink colors as well as thick Pro luster paper

Q: Why do you only use Luster type paper?

Over the 30 years I have been printing I have personally seen a huge drop off of those that want a glossy finish.Β  The glossy paper would sit unused. Most of my customers over the years have gone with a luster finish.

Q: Can I request other surface papers?

Yes, of course!Β  If you have a particular paper you have used and like, I am open to trying to stock it for you.

Q: Can I get traditional prints if I want to?

Although I will not be setting up a β€œwet” traditional printing service, I have trusted labs I have used for 30 years that still print using traditional photo paper and chemistry, please email me for pricing. I would suggest trying professional dry inkjet prints.

Q: Is a protective spray available for dry prints?

Yes, pricing will vary with size and quantities.

Q: Do you offer different scan resolutions?

Yes, low resolution JPGs or high resolution TIFF files.

Q: What do you use to develop C-41 color films?

A Noritsu QSF-450L-3U, that is temperature checked and plotted with control strips to keep chemistry constant.

Q: What do you scan film with?

35mm color or B&W is scanned with the Noritsu LS600 scanner using EZ-Controller software. 120 negatives are scanned using a combination of either/or Canon R6M2 and the Epson V700.

Q: If I already have processed/developed film or prints, what services do you offer?

Any film size or print size can be scanned to digital and/or printed. Link to processing page pricing will go here.
